The service
ModMailBot provides ticketing/modmail features inside Discord. It is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory — including the implied warranties of MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, and NON-INFRINGEMENT — to the maximum extent permitted by law. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Free features may have usage limits (for example, archive size caps).
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old — and old enough to use Discord under Discord's Terms and the laws of your country — to use ModMailBot. The service is not directed to children.
Where this service is offered
ModMailBot is operated from the United States and intended for users and servers in the United States. It is not directed to, or marketed to, individuals in the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, and is provided "as is" without any representation or warranty that it complies with the data-protection or other laws of those regions.
Your responsibilities
You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Content in tickets and transcripts is yours and your members' — you are responsible for it; we do not review, endorse, or moderate it, and we disclaim all liability for user-generated content. You may not use the bot to break the law, to spam, or to interfere with the service (including probing or overloading it).
Data
Our privacy policy describes the limited data we store and how to delete it. Removing the bot, or running /data delete, deletes your server's data as described there. Termination of service for abuse also results in deletion.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, an independent, hobbyist project, and the person(s) operating ModMailBot, is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data (including transcripts — keep your archive channel safe), profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of US$50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless an independent, hobbyist project and the person(s) operating ModMailBot from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the bot, or your violation of these terms or of the rights of others.
Termination
You can stop using the bot at any time by removing it. We may suspend or terminate service to any server that violates these terms or threatens the service's integrity.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We will post changes here with a new effective date; continued use after a change is acceptance.
Assignment
You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer or assign these terms to an affiliated or successor entity — for example, upon incorporation of the project into a company, or a transfer of the service's operation — by posting notice here.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
